This refreshing winter fruit salad is packed with colorful seasonal produce and tossed in a bright, tangy honey-lime dressing. It is a healthy, easy side dish perfect for holiday brunch or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large navel oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 2 cups fresh pomegranate arils
  • 2 crisp apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and diced
  • 2 firm pears (like Bosc or Anjou), cored and diced
  • 3 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup red or green grapes, halved
  • For the Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the fruit: peel and segment the oranges, remove the arils from the pomegranate, and dice the apples and pears. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the honey-lime citrus dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, honey, and lime zest until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the dressing evenly over the fruit mixture in the large bowl.
  4. Gently toss the fruit until everything is lightly coated with the dressing. Be careful not to mash the softer fruits.
  5. Serve the winter fruit salad immediately for the best texture, or chill for up to one hour before serving.

Notes

  • To keep the apples and pears from browning before you mix everything, toss them lightly with a splash of lemon juice immediately after cutting.
  • This salad is a great, healthy winter dessert option when you want something light after a heavy meal.
  • For a festive look, use fruits that offer high contrast, like red pomegranate seeds against green kiwi slices.
