Make this simple, refreshing watermelon smoothie in minutes. It uses only five ingredients for a hydrating summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cubed, frozen watermelon
  • 1 medium ripe banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen watermelon cubes, frozen banana, water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
  2. Add the optional sweetener if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
  4. Pour the smoothie immediately into glasses.
  5. Serve cold.

Notes

  • For a thicker smoothie, use less liquid.
  • If you do not have frozen watermelon, use fresh watermelon and add 4-5 ice cubes.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for the banana if you want a protein boost and are not vegan.
