Learn how to make these melt-in-your-mouth sugar cookie truffles. This simple, no-bake recipe uses only four ingredients and is perfect for holiday parties or quick sweet snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package of soft, frosted sugar cookies (like Lofthouse style)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white candy coating
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother dipping)
  • Sprinkles, for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the frosted sugar cookies into a large bowl. Use your hands or a fork to completely crush the cookies until they resemble fine crumbs.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs. Mix the cream cheese and crumbs together thoroughly until a uniform, thick dough forms. You may need to use your hands for the final mixing stage.
  3. Roll the dough into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the rolled balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step is important to help them firm up before dipping.
  5. While the balls are chilling, prepare the coating. Place the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the coconut oil if you are using it.
  6. Melt the wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  7. Remove the chilled cookie balls from the refrigerator. Dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift the truffle out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  8. Place the coated truffle back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Immediately top with sprinkles, if desired, before the chocolate sets.
  9. Allow the truffles to set completely at room temperature, or speed up the process by placing them back in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes until the coating is firm.

Notes

  • If you do not have pre-frosted sugar cookies, you can use plain sugar cookies and add 1/4 cup of powdered sugar to the dough mixture for sweetness.
  • For the smoothest coating, make sure your melting wafers are not overheated, as this can cause the chocolate to seize or become grainy.
  • These cream cheese truffles store well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
