Whip up this easy, creamy dill dip in minutes. It is packed with fresh dill flavor and perfect as a party appetizer for veggies, chips, or crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the sour cream and mayonnaise to the bowl. Mix until just combined and the mixture is uniform. Do not overmix.
  3. Stir in the fresh dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until the herbs and spices are evenly distributed throughout the dip.
  4. Taste the dip and adjust seasonings if needed. You may want more salt or pepper based on your preference.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dill dip for at least 30 minutes before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to blend together for the best taste.
  6. Serve your creamy dill dip cold with your favorite vegetables, chips, or crackers.

Notes

  • For the brightest dill flavor, always use fresh dill instead of dried.
  • If you want a tangier dip, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you are making this ahead of time, wait to stir in the fresh dill until about an hour before serving to keep the color bright.
  • This dip is a fantastic copycat for restaurant-style dips.
