- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives
- 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon leaves
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons water (or more, for thinning)
- Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream (or yogurt), parsley, chives, tarragon, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a food processor or high-speed blender.
- Process the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and the herbs are finely incorporated. Scrape down the sides as needed.
- Taste the dressing. Add more salt or pepper if desired.
- If the dressing is too thick for your liking, add water one tablespoon at a time while blending until you reach your preferred consistency.
- Transfer the dressing to an airtight container.
- Chill the dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a brighter green color, add a small handful of fresh spinach along with the herbs.
- You can substitute the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt for a lower-fat option.
- This dressing stores well in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- If you do not have fresh tarragon, you can substitute it with 1/2 teaspoon of dried tarragon, but the flavor will be less intense.
