- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Pat the shrimp completely dry using paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
- In a medium bowl, toss the dry shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- Remove the basket and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot shrimp. Gently toss to coat.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For best results, use raw, fresh shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat them very dry before seasoning.
- Do not overcook the shrimp; they are done when they turn pink and opaque.
- If you prefer a slightly saucier finish, toss the cooked shrimp with 1 teaspoon of melted butter just before serving.
